Felt

All felts are made from pure sheep wool. 

Our white felt is a durable industrial material made from 95% wool.  Our grey felt felt is a slightly lower grade, but still with 80% wool content and a very good alternative to our high grade white felt. 

NOTE: Industrial felt is made from wool sourced from sheep. Although the wool is thoroughly cleaned and processed, minor natural debris may remain. Due to the natural fibers, slight color variations between batches are normal.

Use in Conservation: in the drying process for flat art on paper and sheets that have been leafcast, or as a light weight on top of a humidification sandwich. Felt has great drying properties: dimensional stability, no distortion, slower drying rate compared to other highly absorbent materials. Care must be taken to completely dry the felts after each use.
